Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager for Loan Against Property (LAP) is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets for the LAP product. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, building relationships with customers, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Sales Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth processing of LAP applications and disbursals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve the company's LAP sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments to expand the LAP customer base.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear performance goals and objectives for the sales team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle complex customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to understand their needs and offer appropriate LAP solutions.
  • Sales Operations:
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to disbursal of loans.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the credit and operations teams to ensure smooth processing of loan applications.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to the senior management.
  • Analyse sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum experience in sales, with at least 3 years in the LAP or mortgage industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
  • Strong knowledge of the LAP market, products, and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
