Who are we looking forWe are seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to join our team as the Head of Sales. This role is pivotal to our company's success, overseeing the entire sales function and ensuring a seamless process from receiving inquiries to converting them into confirmed bookings. As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for both individual contributions and team management, with an initial focus on mastering our products, customers, and processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach, excelling in matchmaking customers with the right tour/product and ensuring responsiveness to inquiries.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Function Ownership- Oversee the complete sales process, from receiving inquiries to converting them into bookings.
Matchmaking: Connecting Customers with the Right Tour/Product- Understand the unique preferences and needs of each customer to recommend the most suitable cycling holiday package.
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of all tours and products offered, including destinations, itineraries, and special features.
- Train and mentor the sales team on effective matchmaking techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Responsiveness: Timely and Effective Customer Engagement- Ensure the sales team responds promptly to customer inquiries through various channels (email, phone, social media, etc.).
- Implement and manage systems to track and prioritize customer inquiries, ensuring no communication is overlooked.
- Monitor response times and quality of customer interactions, providing feedback and coaching to the sales team as needed.
- Develop and refine processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of customer engagement.
Supplier Coordination- Manage communication with suppliers to design accurate and appealing itineraries.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with suppliers, ensuring clarity and transparency in all communications.
Individual Contribution- Initially, focus on a steep learning curve to understand our products, customers, and sales processes.
- Engage directly with complex inquiries and certain destinations, ensuring high-quality responses and customer satisfaction.
Team Management- Lead the sales team by example, reviewing their responses to inquiries and setting up processes to ensure timely and diligent follow-ups.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around the sales process to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Data Analysis and Insights- Analyze sales data to extract insights and help the product and marketing teams optimize their strategies.
- Present sales performance analysis, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations.
Collaboration- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Technology, Accounting, Product, and Marketing, to brainstorm ideas and contribute to the company's overall growth.
- Learn and master our booking and customer management systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Key Skills and Requirements- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of English.
- Ability to comprehend the context and tone of conversations, engaging meaningfully and tailoring responses accordingly.
- Structured thought process for clear and unambiguous communication.
- Empathy and active listening skills to effectively engage with customers.
- Attention to detail to manage multiple bookings and ensure accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and ability to independently manage workdays responsibly.

- Experience in consulting, stakeholder management, or a business management role preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
What We Offer- Base salary in the range of 12,00,000 to 15,00,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- You will be eligible for Bonus/Incentive post your probation period based on individual and company performance.
- After completing one year with us, you will become eligible for stock options, subject to company performance and management discretion.
