Position Overview
Sales interns often receive training in sales techniques, product knowledge, and company policies. This may involve shadowing experienced sales professionals, attending training sessions, and engaging in on-the-job learning experiences. Interns may have the opportunity to interact with customers through various communication channels. This could involve responding to inquiries, providing product information, and assisting with the resolution of customer issues.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential customers to provide valuable insights to the sales team.
Identify and qualify potential leads or customers through various channels, such as online research, social media, and networking events.
Assist in generating leads through outbound calling, email campaigns, or other outreach strategies to create a pipeline for the sales team
Communicate with potential and existing customers to understand their needs, answer inquiries, and provide information about the company's products or services.
Provide support to the sales team by preparing sales materials, presentations, and proposals. Help with order processing and other administrative tasks.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and other relevant information in the company's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer support, and product development, to ensure a unified approach to customer satisfaction and sales goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or similar.
- Degree in marketing, business or similar may be required.
- Driver's license may be required.
- Strong self-motivation.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in a foreign language would be advantageous.
- Ability to cope with rejection.
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments.
