Job Title: Sales Head
Role Overview:
The Sales Head is responsible for leading the sales team of upto 50 direct/indirect reportees, developing strategies to meet revenue targets, and driving business growth.
The role involves overseeing day-to-day sales activities, managing Retail relationships, and ensuring the team meets its performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Set and track sales goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and clients.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and achievement of sales goals.
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives, providing ongoing coaching to enhance skills.
- Conduct performance reviews and set individual targets for the team.
Sales Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor sales metrics and performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Use CRM systems to track sales activities, customer interactions, and performance.
- Forecast future sales and market trends to guide business strategy.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Analyse competitors and market data to identify business opportunities.
- Adjust sales strategies based on insights from market research.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on customer needs and sales performance.
Budgeting & Financial Management:
- Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
- Monitor and control expenses to maintain profitability.
Business Development:
- Lead efforts to acquire new clients and expand the company's market presence.
- Create strategies for growing the business through partnerships, referrals, and lead generation.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors/Masters in Business/ Sales/ Marketing/ or related fields. MBA is a plus.
Experience: 8-15 years of sales experience
