Job Summary :
The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving direct sales activities, generating leads, and developing relationships with potential customers. The primary focus is to increase market penetration and maximize sales revenue by actively engaging with clients in the field.
Key Responsibilities :
Direct Sales Activities: Actively engage in field sales by visiting potential clients, demonstrating products/services, and collecting data from the customers, sharing quotations.
Lead Generation: Identify and generate new leads through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing required solutions.
Market Research: Gather market and customer information to provide feedback on trends, demands, and competitor activities.
Sales Targets: Achieve or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the management.
Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products/services and effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, lead status, and performance metrics.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and other departments to business growth.
Promotional Activities: Participate in promotional events, exhibitions, and product launches to enhance brand visibility and sales opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree Engineering / Business, Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical or any related field is preferred.
Experience: 2-7 years of experience in field sales or a similar role.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets; strong lead sourcing track record, customer database management skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and influence credibly and effectively.
Self-motivated: Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office applications.
Valid Driver's License: Required for travel within the sales territory.
