We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven School Sales Representative to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to promote and sell educational products or services to schools, colleges, and educational institutions. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and presentation skills, have a strong understanding of the education sector, and be able to build and maintain relationships with school administrators, teachers, and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential schools and educational institutions as target customers. Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.
- Sales Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the education sector. Identify key decision-makers within schools and establish contact to pitch products or services.
- Product Presentation: Present educational products or services to school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders. Clearly articulate the features, benefits, and value proposition of the offerings to address the specific needs and requirements of each school.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in schools, including principals, curriculum coordinators, department heads, and teachers. Establish trust and credibility to become a trusted advisor on educational solutions.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Follow up with schools to gather feedback and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
- Sales Collateral Development: Create sales collateral such as presentations, brochures, and educational materials to support sales efforts. Customize materials as needed to align with the requirements of different schools and educational programs.
- Sales Reporting: Keep detailed records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and sales pipeline progress. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity for management review.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff on the use and implementation of educational products or services. Conduct product demonstrations and workshops to showcase the features and functionalities of the offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the education sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of the education market and current trends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as needed.
