RTG Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes to load and unload containers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor crane operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of RTG cranes to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with ground staff and other operators to facilitate smooth cargo handling operations.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including cargo movements and maintenance activities.
• Identify and report any operational issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in safety training and drills to enhance operational safety.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in crane operation preferred.
• Proven experience as an RTG Operator or in a similar role, with at least 3-5 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of crane operations, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.

Skills:

• Crane Operation: Operating RTG cranes to load and unload containers.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
• Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of RTG cranes.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of crane operations and maintenance.

Preferred:

• Certification in crane operation or heavy equipment operation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
