Job Summary:
The Cognitive, Intelligent Automation and RPA Business Analyst will play a key role in analysing banking processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools. With experience in the banking domain, it will collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, document processes, and work closely with RPA developers to design, implement, and improve automated workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Analysis & Identification:
- Analyse banking and financial processes to identify RPA opportunities across divisions of Bank
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for automation solutions.
- Prioritize processes based on business impact, complexity, and return on investment (ROI).
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
- Engage with stakeholders (including business units, operations, and IT teams) to gather detailed business requirements.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Process Design Documents (PDD).
- Ensure all requirements are well-documented, comprehensive, and signed off by stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with the RPA development team to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and providing updates.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyse and improve banking processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and improve operational performance.
- Provide insights into best practices, new technology, and trends within the RPA space, specifically for banking.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports on automation outcomes, ROI, and productivity improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for process design, automation, and compliance requirements.
- Banking Domain Expertise:
- Strong understanding of banking processes, such as loan processing, payments, KYC, risk management, or customer service workflows.
- Familiarity with banking regulations, compliance requirements, and data security protocols.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyse complex business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Experience with data analysis and process improvement methodologies.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Good knowledge of requirement elicitation, documentation and process assessment
- Familiarity with automation tools, process mapping, and workflow design.
- Understanding of SQL, databases, and APIs is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA/BSc/MSc/MCS/MS/M.Tech/ME in CS or IT only)
Relevant BA certifications is preferred in RPA tools (like Automation Anywhere etc.)
