- Job Summary: The Retail Sales Executive will be responsible for managing the sales process in a retail environment, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The role involves inventory management, invoicing, and for paint, the additional task of paint mixing. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of the paint or tiles market.
Customer Interaction:
- Greet and assist customers in the store.
Provide product information and recommendations based on customer needs.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits.Sales Management:
Achieve sales targets and goals set by the management.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales.
Conduct follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
Inventory Management:- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
Conduct regular stock checks and update inventory records.- Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of stock.
Manage inventory discrepancies and take corrective actions.
- Invoicing and Documentation:
Generate and manage invoices for sales transactions.- Ensure accurate entry of sales data into the system.
Maintain and update customer records.
- Prepare and submit sales reports to the management.
Paint Mixing (If Applicable):
- Operate paint mixing equipment to create custom colors as per customer requests.
Ensure accuracy in paint mixing to match the required specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the paint mixing area.
Store Maintenance:
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Arrange and display products to attract customer attention.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of store fixtures and equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in the paint or tiles domain.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.- Basic knowledge of inventory management and invoicing processes.
Ability to operate paint mixing equipment (for paint domain).
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering excellent service.
Full-time position, may require weekend and holiday work.- Primarily based in a retail store environment.
May involve handling heavy products.
