Position: Executive Retail Sales
Reports to: Manager - Sales
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Shall follow up from enquiry, submitting quotation/ Proforma Invoice, collection of purchase
order with advance, order execution, payment collection.
2. Shall be responsible for achieving sales objective of his region and shall carryout all the activities required to achieve sales objectives which include sample product testing and approvals by customers, negotiations till getting orders.
3. Shall ensure payment collections and outstanding collections within the credit period.
4. Shall ensure increase in the number of new clients and increase in the percentage of active clients in the geographical area under him.
5. Shall ensure creation of market demand for the products by way of making a marketing plan with the reporting authority and executing the same. The marketing plan shall consist of the following:
6. Product and company promotions: Participation in to exhibitions, advertisement in to web
portals and product magazines, campaigns, road shows, digital media advertisements, etc.
7. Visits to retail customers and presenting company and products and facilitating customer visits to the company.
8. Regularly collect the information on the competition i.e. number of competitors, new and old,each company size, financials, field force strength, product strengths and pricing, business model, channel sales methodology, etc.
9. Shall keep a track of market trends, i.e. any new technology or government policies which can change the game.
10. Shall look for new opportunities in the related areas to expand the business which may require a new product line, or a new geographic area to expand.
11. Shall collect feedback on product quality, directly from the customers/ dealers/ resellers, and ensure the product failures are within acceptable limit with the help of his superiors. Shall
collect feedback on product aesthetics, packaging, pre and post sales delivery services and
ensure the lackings are improved based on the customer feedback with the help of his
superiors.
