In celebration of this journey towards progress, marks the official launch of Ellucian ReStart- a new initiative to help bridge the skill gap for women in India returning to the workforce after a pause in their careers. Nearly half of the women in India's workforce end up leaving their jobs for various reasons. Our new six-month program provides resources and support including a dedicated mentor to help women in India transition back into thriving careers in technology.
The Consultant uses superior programming skills and knowledge of customer business challenges to provide outstanding service to the Ellucian Managed Services client community. The work ranges from software troubleshooting and break/fix support up to full application development and spans many areas including applications, integrations and reporting. This is a customer-facing position that requires good consulting skills.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for needs assessment, integration services and the ability to develop a strong working relationship with the client.
As a Restart consultant, you will work with a team of analysts who are striving to support our customer base. The incumbent will be part of ActionLine Document Management Support team who are responsible for supporting and resolving issues faced by customer (both internal and external) while using Document Management solution. We are looking for people who will challenge the norm, who want to take accountability and will come together as a team to enable and delight our customers. Our offices are state-of-the-art and provide the best equipment. Working in a collaborative environment, we encourage regular meetings where people share their ideas and thoughts.
Where you will make an impact
- Provide in depth support to Ellucian clients and employees in troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Document issues and solutions within Ellucian's tracking system and follow issue progress through resolution
- Develop effective working relationships with other Ellucian staff
- Work closely with other Ellucian Action Line team members to deliver outstanding support for clients
- Work both independently as needed and as an active, contributing member of a team.
- Actively contribute and work to continually improve customer self-help through the publication of technically and functionally accurate knowledge base articles
- Engage in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts, technologies and functionality.
- Oriented towards problem-solving and analyzing impacts, both technically and functionally.
What You Will Bring
- Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL
- Knowledge of Linux operating system
- Understanding of application servers like Tomcat
- Knowledge of Computer Networks, Cloud concepts
- Basic understanding of computer programming, knowledge in any one programming language
- Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs
- Strong customer service orientation and experience with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative and follow through on commitments made to clients
Eligibility:
- Women with a minimum 2 Years career break
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
