Lead and manage research projects and programs on advancing user-centered public transport in Indian cities and states; with a focus on gender equity.
Develop work plans to implement project activities and monitor implementation while ensuring high quality deliverables
Build, guide and motivate a team with interdisciplinary expertise
Engage and build rapport with government, donor, CSO partners towards a common vision and goals
Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities on research on climate resilient, gender equitable cities, transport and public spaces.
Qualifications:
Preference for candidates with a background in economics/social sciences/gender studies and a strong and broad-based understanding of gender issues especially on womens labour force participation, care economy, gender equitable mobility.
PhD in social sciences/ economics/ transportation/ urban planning with 4 years of work experience
Advanced knowledge of statistical data analytical tools like R, STATA, SPSS, Python, Tableau, GIS etc.
Well-versed with mixed methods research, research protocols
Prior experience in publishing in academic journals and protocols on gender equitable mobility, womens labour force participation, care economy
Guide, motivate and manage teams with diverse expertise and deliver under tight timelines
Prior experience in fundraising for multi-year programs and managing donor partners would be a plus
