Position Summary: Researcherwill be responsible to work with R&D team to study a wide range of materials for their fundamental properties and analyze them using suitable characterization techniques for various applications across Saint-Gobain products portfolio.
- Good understanding of inorganic materials, solids, structure-property correlations in functional materials
- Basic knowledge of materials chemistry and defects in solids
- Hands-on and analytical experience of various materials characterization techniques.
- Idea on sample preparation methods is an added advantage.
- Knowledge in theoretical methods of materials analysis density functional theory is an added advantage.
- Mentoring skills is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and share the knowledge, quick grasping abilities.
- Attention to details and quality of work.
- Should have hands-on approach towards research and be proactive.
- Independent research abilities with minimal supervision, good at decision-making.
- Meticulous in prioritizing, planning and execution.

Qualifications:
Educational qualification:
- Ph.D Materials science/Physics/Inorganic chemistry/Materials science and Metallurgy
- M.Tech/ M.S - Material science/ Physics/Inorganic chemistry/Materials science and Metallurgy with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Minimum years of industrial experience: PhD with 0 -3 years or M.Tech/MS: 6-8 years of industrial experience
Specific skills / Personal attributes
- Follow EHS protocols and 5S
- Working experience in a chemical lab.
- Hands-on experience in characterization techniques.
