This profile will contribute to the design and development of Eeki's patented growing chambers and all R&D activities related to material research (focusing on properties such as optical, thermal, and mechanical strength), as well as the HVAC and fluid flow systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform literature reviews to gather insights from existing research. Utilise findings and prepare design of experiments for the development of product and process prototypes.
- Plan, coordinate and execute field experiments. Apply theoretical knowledge to study and validate experimental setups, ensuring experiments are structured to meet precise research goals.
- Conduct detailed analysis including heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mass transfer, mechanics of materials and manufacturability to properly specify new and existing designs.
- Perform engineering calculations to support design, testing, and validation efforts.
- Testing of materials for use in products. Analyse the performance and suitability of different materials to ensure they meet design and project goals.
- Ensure all products and processes meet regulatory and safety compliance standards.
- Identify and analyse process deficiencies. Develop and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency, product quality, and overall system performance.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, reports, manuals, data sheet, documentation for the production, installation and the tests of releases of product prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure solutions can be manufactured with high-quality, cost-optimised, and to requirements.
- Conduct market research and technology scouting to identify opportunities for innovation.
Profile:
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge in heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and mechanics of materials.
- Strong experimentation skills and theoretical knowledge in mechanical engineering.
- Strong foundational knowledge in Physics.
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Results orientated, with strong time and priorities management skills.
