You will be part of the Knowledge Hub of Quest Alliance. This is an interdisciplinary role that focuses on capturing, synthesising and disseminating knowledge that is shaping or is likely to shape the discourse in education, youth skilling, education technology in the coming decade. The research coordinator will work closely with the Research Specialist in formulating research agenda for the organisation and in carrying out primary and secondary research.
Job Description :
- Proactively design and execute a cohesive and focused research program for critical area(s) for the organisation with a youth-centric lens. This will include:
Conceptualising research design (qualitative and quantitative) and methodology
Ability to prioritise research questions based on organisational priorities.
Investigating and consolidating secondary research, including mapping trends and discourses in the field and the sector
Coordinating logistics in case of primary research
- Analyse, synthesise and distil research findings into knowledge products which can be appreciated by a wider audience - including reports, academic papers, blogs, and op-eds.
- Be able to guide creation of impactful artefacts from research findings that are both visually appealing and rich in description and bring clarity to the topic being studied.
- Conceptualise and design the flagship event Quest2Learn to build dialogue in the sector anchored on research.
- Assist in information dissemination within the various programs in Quest as well as to external stakeholders for different purposes
Requirements We are looking for people who:
Eligibility:
A Masters degree (or higher) in Education/Social Sciences/Development Studies/Social Design/Design Research.
3+ years of experience in both qualitative and quantitative research preferably in education, skills development, and/or livelihoods.
Well established portfolio of research techniques, including ethnographic methods.
Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in a team.
Passionate about the challenges India is facing in the education and employability domain.
Willingness to travel to field locations, as per need to conduct research.
An interest in experimenting with research methods.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in holding research projects from beginning to end.
Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to write and plan research briefs, reports and other dissemination material.
Publications in the form of reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Established portfolio of research dissemination.
Experience in managing research and coordinating with research agencies/consultants
Publications in the form of research papers, and/or op-eds
Proficiency in Hindi and/or other regional languages preferred.
