Job Description

We are seeking a Microbiologist who will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, analyzing samples and conducting R&D related assignments

Educational qualification:

  • M.Sc Plant pathology, Microbiology, Biotechnology Knowledge of sustainable and organic farming principles
  • Proficiency in laboratory works as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for sustainability and eco-friendly practices

Prior Experience : 2-3 years

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on various microbiological activities on a regular basis.
  • Be aware of the agriculture microbes and their importance as bio fertilizers, biocontrol agents, bio-stimulants, etc.
  • Be aware of plant pathogens and their control using various potential and effective treatment processes, including biocontrol agents.
  • Knowledge of basic microbiology laboratory practices such as laboratory cleaning, glass-plastic ware sterilization, media preparation, sterilization, serial dilution, inoculation, culture maintenance, etc.
  • Isolation, purification, and screening of various microorganisms as per their functionality.
  • Development of the protocol for economically mass-scale production of the potential applicable microorganism
  • Laboratory as well as pilot-scale field-level analysis to screen potential microorganisms
  • Be aware of the development of a microbial consortium with a combination of potential microorganisms.
  • Monitor all physiological and morphological characteristics and identify microorganisms.
  • Develop and maintain validation for all protocols for various environmental samples.
  • Perform a laboratory analysis on all materials after appropriate sterilization.
  • Develop and prepare research papers and documents for all protocols.
  • Perform audits on various environmental programs and perform reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform tests on all activities conducted in the laboratory.
  • Develop and document various microbiology laboratory processes and prepare final reports
