Research Associate

Novel Patterns is looking to hire a full-time research associate to work on fintech, investment, and Portfolio Management research projects with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, LLM Models, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, preferably with experience in the fintech/finance related field. Research associates are involved in all stages of the research process and are expected to work independently within the scope of their responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, collaborating on research design, model training, evaluation, conducting data analysis, interpreting results, training other research assistants, and drafting and editing manuscripts and presentations. They should uphold the highest standards of work ethic and scientific integrity. Past involvement in related roles would be appreciated. Exposure to fintech/finance/Investment Management as a sector is a plus but not mandated.

Expected Qualifications & Skills

The candidate should preferably hold a Ph.D. /M.Phil. /Research Scholar/Pursuing Ph.D./MSc (CS/IT/Mathematics/MBA-Finance/Business Analytics/MS-(Research)/MTech/BS/B.Sc.-Stat/BTech/BE candidates (from IITs, ISI, IISc, BITS, NITs, and other premier colleges of India) would be considered. The candidate should have an excellent academic record, good oral and written communication skills, and should be able to work with minimal guidance.

Additional Requirements

- Knowledge of AI/ML/NLP and quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and analysis techniques

- Candidates are encouraged to submit unpublished writing or research samples.

Research & Development Team

Successful candidates will work closely with a research team on projects in FinTech & Investment under the Research & Development Team, Amit Trivedi (Co-Founder Novel Patterns) & Bankatesh Choudhary (Ph.D. Candidate -Management & Analytics, Sr. Data Scientist Novel Patterns).
