R&D Manager
The selected candidate will oversee the R&D department, ensuring efficient, timely, and budget-conscious project completion. They will drive innovation, develop new products, enhance existing ones, and stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with the organisation's overall goals and objectives.
- Identify areas for innovation and growth within the industry.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of R&D projects from conception to commercialization. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the R&D department. Encourage creativity, exploration of new ideas, and experimentation with emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Production, and Quality Assurance to ensure alignment and integration of R&D activities with overall business strategies.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the R&D budget. Allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity and achieve project goals within financial constraints.
- Conduct market research and technology scouting to identify opportunities for innovation/
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that R&D projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs teams to facilitate product compliance.
- Protect and manage the organisation's intellectual property rights. Oversee patent filings, trademarks, and other forms of intellectual property protection.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Min. experience: 7+ years.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical / Electronics/ Aerodynamics/ Aviation.
- Proven experience in research and development, with a track record of successful project management and innovation. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Candidates from DRDO/ Defence sector/ Aviation/ Aerospace sector will be preferred.
