Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Research and Bid Manager to join our team, responsible for driving market and account research, bid management, and repository management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and engineering companies, with experience in managing IT proposals and software engineering proposals throughout the entire lifecycle. This role will be critical in enhancing our proposal quality and effectiveness in securing new business.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Account Research:

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the IT and engineering sectors.

Analyze target accounts to understand their needs, challenges, and business strategies, providing actionable insights to inform proposal strategies.

Bid Management:

Lead and manage the bid process from inception to submission, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, technical, legal) to gather necessary information and develop compelling responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.

Proposal Development:

Create and refine proposal content, ensuring alignment with client expectations and corporate branding standards.

Maintain a library of proposal templates, case studies, and past performance data to streamline the proposal development process.

Repository Management:

Develop and maintain a centralized repository for proposal documents, ensuring it is up-to-date and easily accessible.

Connect with delivery solution leads to ensure all content reflects the latest offerings, methodologies, and success stories.

Regularly update repository materials to reflect the latest offerings, success stories, and competitive intelligence.

Collaboration with Marketing:

Work with the marketing team to drive the creation of new collateral, such as videos and presentations, that align with proposal efforts and promote our capabilities.

Ensure continuous collaboration to keep marketing materials relevant and support ongoing business development initiatives.

Lifecycle Management:

Oversee the full proposal lifecycle, from initial research and proposal drafting to submission and post-bid review.

Facilitate lessons learned sessions to continuously improve proposal processes and strategies based on feedback.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with sales teams to identify opportunities for proposal submissions and develop strategies to win bids.

Engage with technical teams to ensure proposals accurately reflect the company's capabilities and solutions.

Performance Tracking:

Monitor and report on bid performance metrics, analyzing win/loss data to identify areas for improvement.

Prepare regular updates for management on proposal pipeline status and outcomes.

Experience Requirements:

Bid Management Expertise:

5-7 years of experience in bid management, proposal writing, and research within IT and engineering sectors.

Proven track record of managing successful bids for IT proposals and software engineering projects across the full lifecycle.

Industry Knowledge:

Strong understanding of IT and engineering services, including software development, systems integration, cloud services, and digital transformation.

Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in proposal development.

Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and persuasive proposal documents.

Experience presenting proposals and engaging with stakeholders at various levels.

Research & Analytical Skills:

Exceptional research skills to gather and analyze market and account data effectively.

Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights for proposal development.

Project Management:

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in proposal submissions.

Collaborative Approach:

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with proposal management software and tools (e.g., proposal automation platforms, ,AI systems ,CRM systems).

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools

Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
