Job Description for Oracle DBA:
- Comprehensive background with physical DBA support in complex environments
- Core Database troubleshooting and monitoring database
- Installation of the database software on UNIX/Windows/Linux platforms
- RMAN backup and recovery of the Oracle Database, Logical backup
- Performance tuning
- Migration or Upgradation of databases
- Hands on experience on configuring and maintaining Data guard
- Hands on experience on switchover and switchback
- Oracle Failsafe installation and maintenance
- RAC configuration and maintenance
- Experience in OEM(Oracle Enterprise Manager)
- Oracle Streams is a plus
- Implement IT security , Database hardening
- Automation of database activities with writing shell scripts
- Knowledge of the MSSQL added advantage
- Knowledge of the Data Movement utilities and Exadata added advantage
Require Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate ability to work under high pressure in a complex multi- threaded environment
- Demonstrated capability to learn, rapidly utilizing good problem solving skills
- Desire to learn and document new tools
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
