JD:

Qualifications and Experience: A good mechanically biased engineering degree (or other relevant engineering qualification with 2 years industry experience.

2. Experience in product development and introductions is an advantage Knowledge of design for manufacture and design for assembly.

3. Experience in the use of a range of engineering materials and with several manufacturing methods/techniques .

4. 3D and 2D CAD skills (Pro-E (Creo), AutoCAD and other drafting tools.

5. An understanding of Structures, Gearboxes, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and system schematics.

6. Basic entry in Static and dynamic force analysis

7. Results Orientation - focus on delivering to project milestones and timescales

8. Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

9. Understand key technical deliverables and requirements and can report concisely to more senior engineers and the project manage.

Tasks:

1. To verify that the designs meet the Master Specification and conform to the relevant design standards by calculation and/or testing as appropriate.

2. Accountable for the design and development of sub-assemblies of a product ensuring the specified quality and cost are achieved to the agreed project time scale.

3. Accountable for the detailed documentation of the design (models, drawings, design data, BOM, test data) ensuring all relevant information is recorded in a timely manner in accordance with TCF requirements.

4. BOM creation and entry in SAP.

Goals:

1. To design and develop Product/sub-assemblies of new and existing products.

2. To meet the Master Specification targets and ensure conformance to the relevant international, national and industry safety standards.

3. To verify that the designs meet the Master Specification and conform to the relevant design standards by calculation and/or testing as appropriate.
