Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Vendor Manager to oversee relationships with multiple third-party repair vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management, repair operations, and quality control. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with company policies and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship Management: Manage and cultivate relationships with multiple third-party repair vendors to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews, assessing vendors based on quality, cost, and turnaround time to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all vendors comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the repair process.
- Operational Monitoring: Monitor and analyze repair operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Process Enhancement: Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality of repair services.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and vendor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Quality Control Development: Develop and maintain robust quality control processes for all repaired products.
- Vendor Audits: Conduct audits to verify vendor compliance with established quality standards and recommend necessary improvements.
- Inventory Oversight: Oversee the inventory of products awaiting repair, those in repair, and completed items to optimize resource management.
- KPI Tracking: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors, including turnaround time, quality ratings, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
- Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in repair processes and vendor performance.
- Reporting: Report findings and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to address concerns and ensure alignment.
- Travel Flexibility: Be prepared to relocate or travel to other cities as required by the company for temporary or permanent assignments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in vendor management, repair operations, or quality control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
