POSITION SUMMARY - Release Manager
The Release Manager is responsible for defining, implementing and managing software releases across the company for large and small deployments. The Release Manager will act as a Project Manager managing multiple software requests and multiple project tasks to completion, as well as negotiate dates and communicate status from Users to Leadership. Must have strong SCCM experience with software deployments.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, reporting and managing software releases across ADP for large and small software deployments. This role is critical to making sure we deploy functional software in ADP without user impact.
You'll work within an agile team using HP ALM, MS SCCM, JAMF and SQL Reports to manage software requests from Intake to Remediation.
This role requires that you negotiate dates, report on deployment status, submit Change Control requests and understand the workstation environment within ADP.You'll use your skills to ensure that deliverables are met and that the flow of software requests are not impeded.This role is an excellent building block for your career in that you'll utilize skills that involve Relationship Management, Project Management, and SCCM Administration. You'll be creating Collections, assigning work assignments, and representing the Software Packaging Team in front of Business Units in ADP.
You will own the releases and be responsible for building out the deployment plans, dividing tasks among the team, identifying problems, and solving them. If you are looking for a role that is strictly 9-5, this may not be the job for you. Pace should not scare, and flexibility is a must since testing doesn't always occur during regular business hours. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
Agile. You understand that Release Management requires flexibility. You must keep up with timelines and pre-negotiated dates. Time constraints and fluidity of work often mean consistent statuses and renegotiating dates. Your first thought Bring it on!
Create & Deploy. You'll create Deployment plans, SCCM Collections, and Change Orders for each push deployment. You will focus on the verification and validation of applications from an end-user perspective.
Collaborate. We work collaboratively, so you will communicate and collaborate with Packagers, QA Engineers, and Engineers, and Requestors for your Deployments. You'll articulate clear and precise requirements to the team so that deployments do not impact associates or the business.
Learning. You're always learning new management skills and eager to figure things out as you learn.
Challenges. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution.
Experience. You have 2-5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
Besides the proven experience and technical products mentioned above and working in an Agile environment packaging with Power Shell, some of these skills may give you extra comfort in the role:
o Experience Packaging with Power Shell
o Experience with MS Excel
o Operational Experience with SCCM, MS Auto Pilot, SQL Development
o Operational Experience with Intune and Azure AD
o Operational JAMF in the Cloud
o Operational Experience with SCCM
