Release Manager

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Release Manager to oversee and facilitate the release management process within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a structured approach to quality assurance, experience with various tools, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review deployment requests through JIRA and ensure quality checks in the repository (OBS). Note: No technical code review is required.
• Verify that all technical documentation is completed to an approved standard.
• Manage releases in JIRA and create change requests in the ITSM tool (ServiceNow).
• Provide approvals or rejections for deployments.
• Maintain structured communication with Support, Development (DEV), CINTO, and Change Management teams regarding releases.
• Facilitate Quality Assurance (QA) processes, monitor and ensure transparency of Failover (FoF) and Rollback, and facilitate preventive actions (including requesting changes to development guidelines or updates to the Standard change template).

Competencies Required:

• Strong structured approach to quality assurance.
• Knowledge of the secure development lifecycle.
• Technical background with relevant experience.
• Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps, Observability, and SonarQube.
• Experience in Release Management and QA practices.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and JIRA is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience with IBM ACE is a significant plus.
