Position Description:
Technology policy, enterprise products, spectrum, standards, network & cyber security and compliances.
1.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1.Policy Advocacy
Drive advocacy regarding various policy positions involving telecom technologies and business
2.Responses to Consultation Papers
Submission of timely responses to draft consultation papers/reports/standards put up by TRAI/DoT/TEC
3.Impact analysis of new & upcoming rules/regulations/recommendations
Analyze regulatory, technical and business impact of newly introduced or upcoming regulations/guidelines/recommendations and drive advocacy based on the same
4.Spectrum Management from Regulatory perspective
Drive policy positions regarding utilization of spectrum (Access, Backhaul, Satellite etc.) in national (WPC, TEC) and international forums (ITU-R incl. WRC) including Government bodies;
Handle technical, regulatory and operational matters pertaining to telecom spectrum
5.Enterprise Products
Ensure that enterprise products are compliant with licensing and regulatory norms and solving regulatory challenges related to enterprise products/B2B services
Especially, handle regulatory challenges related to IoT/M2M products and M2M service providers
6.Telecom Standards
Track and Participate in telecom standardization proceedings (TSDSI/ITU-T incl. WTSA /occasionally 3GPP) from a regulatory and policy perspective
7.Network Security and Cyber Security
Handle policy and operational matters pertaining to Network and Cyber Security, such as issues related to CEIR, data breach, application for intimation of Lawful Interception & Monitoring, periodic submission of software updates etc.
8.General Operations and Compliances
Handle operational matters pertaining to B2B services and technical elements such as periodic checking of bonafide usage (i.e., whether customers are holding adequate licenses as required), audit of ILL, MPLS, NLD and ILD links usage and whether adequate regulatory measures have been complied with etc.
Timely submission of compliances to Government and allied bodies pertaining to Network and Cyber Security, B2B services and network elements as prescribed in License and allied guidelines
Responding to Government's queries in these regards from time to time
Timely submission of various applications (membership, election etc.) in Government forums, associations, SDOs etc.
Management of internal compliances based on licenses and allied guidelines.
1.Knowledge, Certifications and Experience
Education Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering
Total Experience: 2-3 years

DoT, WPC, TEC, TSDSI, MeitY, Counterparts in other TSPs (Jio/Vi), OEM (Qualcomm/Samsung/Ericsson) teams, ITU, Associations like COAI, ISpA, IAFI, BIF etc., other organizations including customers as & when required.
