Job Description

Role Description

001.To represent as Management member in Apex OHS Safety Committee, SHE Committee,

Standing Medical Board, Medical separation scheme Board etc.

Implementation & monitoring of Quality standards applicable to OHS like OHSAS-18001,

SA-8000 & QMS.

Will be responsible for Planning and implementing ABP for Occupational health activities.

002 .Ensuring compliance to statutory requirements as per the Factories Act for Tata Steel and representation in the Legal compliance committee.

Will be responsible for Planning, organizing & conducting First Aid Training and Occupational

Health related Awareness programs.

Will be responsible for regular Periodical general health check-up, Analysis of abnormalities,

Compliance of individual counselling and Follow up of abnormal cases and appraising management with compliance and trend analysis with action plan for improvement.

003. Implementation and monitoring of all Corporate health improvement projects under Wellness Workplace program like control of Life Style diseases, OH hazard identification, Quantification & control under Industrial hygiene program, Job stress management program, Planning, conducting and reviewing Doctor Doorstep program and implementation of Corrective & Preventive action.

Coordinating Health improvement projects for working women.

Financial Management of Corporate Health Projects.

004 .Interaction with OHS, Tata Steel-Jamshedpur and other out locations for implementation of best practices.

Will be responsible for Planning, organizing & leading Occupational Health related research

work.

Coordination with General Manager, Medical Services for all professional guidance.

005. Interaction with Top Management & Tata Workers Union for assessing the effectiveness of Occupational Health Services.

Will be responsible for Establishment matters of OHS.

Will be responsible for placing order for Services, Products, Ambulances and Man power supply to vendors and Printing of office and health related matters.

006. Will be responsible for Health related SOPs/Guidelines and also for Disaster management (Medical part).

Will be responsible for all Contract management (Financial management) and ensuring

Effectiveness of all services by the Vendors under medical services.

Will be responsible for smooth functioning of all Colony dispensaries and Plant First aid centres on day to day basis.
