Job Description

Qualification required: Master degree/ PG Diploma in Development Studies, Rural Management & Agribusiness Management, Community Medicine, Rural Development, Social work, or related field from a reputed university/ institute

Experience required:

  • Minimum 7 yearswork experience in large scale capacity strengthening efforts particularly involving Government institutions and programs preferably in national or state rural livelihood missions.
  • Understanding of SRLM, NRLM, Health and Nutrition, Gender, Livelihood quality assessment and support during implementation of large-scale programs.
  • Understanding of Government programs related to Self-Help Groups and their federations, health, nutrition and sanitation, Gender and Livelihoods
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including writing skills in English and Hindi required.
  • Skill and Competencies:
  • Possess excellent facilitating, coordinating and implementation skill.
  • Consultative and collaborative approach; ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, problem-solving and work as part of a team.
  • Working Knowledge of computer S excels, M.S office and internet.

  • The Regional Manager will be the part of PCI-UP Team and will work in close coordination with Supervisor and the Mission Management teams of UPSRLM based at district and block level
  • S/he will coordinate with concerned thematic District Mission Manager of assigned districts of UPSRLM on day-to-day basis under the close supervision of Associate Director and in close coordination of thematic nodal officer embedded with UPSRLM
  • The position will be responsible for ensuring the qualitative implementation of the project interventions and activities of various project directly and in close coordination with community platforms and concerned departments/agencies
  • This position will include providing handholding, mentoring, capacity strengthening and implementation support to UPSRLM staff & cadre on HN integration, Gender, and various Livelihoods within the Community platform
  • S/he will support Concerned Thematic DMM in planning, implementation, quality assessment, data management and reporting of HN interventions, Gender, and Livelihoods especially behaviour change communication
  • The position will require providing guidance, mentoring, and supervising team members at Block and Cluster level for quality implementation of project interventions and activities for achieving the objectives and goals of the project
  • The position will be responsible for steering the various project interventions and activities in the assigned region and will devise strategies for engaging community, liaison with various line departments and ensure timely compilation of reports and documents for demonstrating the impact and progress of project interventions in the assigned region

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with concerned thematic DMMs of UPSRLM to bring out HN, Gender, THR, Decentralized Renewable Energy and Livelihoods as one of the key focus areas for the day-to-day business of UPSRLM staff and cadre.
  • Will ensure quality implementation of project interventions for achieving the project goals and objectives based on HN, Gender, THR, Decentralized Renewable Energy and Livelihoods or any other project or thematic intervention in the assigned region.
  • Will assess capacity building needs of project staff, Community institutions, Community Cadre, Mission staff and develop capacity building plans based on assessment and organize capacity building and trainings on HN, Gender, THR, Decentralized Renewable Energy and Livelihoods in coordination with UPSRLM and Supervisor.
  • Will support & ensure the District, Block, Cluster, Gram Panchayat and revenue village-wise Gap analysis on HN, Gender, THR, Decentralized Renewable Energy, Livelihood and other themes at a regular interval for necessary improvement in implementation of activities in the region.
  • Will be required to develop the thematic models, prototypes, action pilots and demonstration sites as per the SoPs and guidance from supervisor in a time bound manner and ensure the replication of thematic intervention models in other districts of the region in a time bound manner.
  • Will be required to liaison and develop good rapport with District and Block officials of UPSRLM and other line departments for effective and smooth implementation of project interventions in the assigned districts and region around HN, Gender, THR, Decentralized Renewable Energy, Livelihoods, or any other thematic interventions from time to time.
  • Will be required to provide guidance and supervision support to District, Block and CLF project staff on a regular basis for smooth and seamless implementation of thematic interventions in the assigned region.
  • Will be required to ensure regular identification and documentation of best practices, success stories, case studies etc on a regular basis for the ongoing thematic interventions. Compile both qualitative and quantifiable report of different thematic interventions in the region. Will be required to timely submit the reports electronically and different forms as per the need in a timely manner.
  • Will be required to monitor the progress of project interventions on a regular basis in the assigned region. Will be required to compile the progress reports and build capacity of project staff, Mission staff, cadres in use of digital tools and ensure timely updation of digital and other forms of progress reports in a timely manner.
  • Will be required to ensure, facilitate and support DMMU, BMMU and Cluster Federations in convening regular review meetings on thematic interventions in the region supported by PCI. Facilitate and support Block Mission Units in convening review of Community Cadres on regular basis.
  • Provide handholding support to the concerned thematic project staff and BMM of assigned districts/blocks in conducting the assessment of capacity strengthening activities of staff & cadre on HN , Gender, THR and Livelihood interventions.
  • Support DMMU and BMMU in planning and implementation of different types of community events or campaigns on HN, Gender, THR and Livelihood to bring out behavior changes in the practices and adoption of livelihood package of practices.
  • Support concerned thematic DMM to ensure the convergence with other stakeholder and line departments, agencies, and individuals for the benefit of community associated with Mission.
  • Provide support to DMMU & BMMU in developing a mechanism of timely MIS entries.
  • Generate monthly brief district HN, Gender, THR and Livelihood reports including success stories on Behavior Changes, collective actions/Positive
  • Will be required to undertake regular field visits for identifying the implementation gaps and strengthening the implementation of thematic interventions.
  • Based on interventions will formulate strategies and action plans for improving the implementation of interventions and course correction.
  • Provide analyzed data and reports on training, community events, and any other HN, Gender, THR and Livelihood implementation strategies as per programmatic requirements
  • Identify & raise the district & block-wise gaps on training and integration of HN, Gender, THR and Livelihood activities and sharing it with BMMU and state level team embedded within UPSRLM.
  • Will be required to coordinate with different line departments as per the programmatic requirement on a regular basis.
  • Will ensure and support implementation of digital interventions in the region supported by PCI in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Represent PCI in different state/district and block-level forums based on the requirement and needs of the project.
  • Any other assignments given by the supervisor/organization
