Regional Application Consultant (RAC)
Regional Application Consultants have the responsibility to increase Belimo brand name awareness and educate industry decision makers, buyers and influencers on the benefits of using Belimo products for their respective defined region for product lines and solutions such as but not limited to:
· Belimo Energy Valves and Pressure independent Control valves
· Belimo Zone Application solutions
· Belimo Sensors
· Belimo Butterfly Valves
· Belimo Fire & Smoke solutions
· Energy Meters
· other strategic products
With the intent of getting Belimo products accepted and specified.
Responsibilities:
· Create and manage an India specific range of both technical and sales presentations, to suit market conditions and regional product offerings.
· Provide a level of technical support to fellow Sales team
· Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with end users, facility managers, decision influencers and consulting engineers providing product training, system design support, and recommendations in design using Belimo products for best practice and Energy Efficiency.
· Utilize applications expertise to assist sales force in the development of new business.
· Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to the sales organization, Product Management and Engineering to further develop them into new business.
· Keep informed of new consulting engineering and end user projects and provide leads to sales managers.
· Take a lead role in development of technical training for Sales.
· Work closely with Product Management and Engineering for new and existing products.
· Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users.
Requirements:
· Hydraulic design experience or in-depth knowledge and understanding is required.
· Bachelors degree in technical field, preferably mechanical or HVAC.
· 3-5 Years of proven track record in consulting engineering, or 3-5 years applicable experience in the HVAC or related technical field.
· Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organizational, inter-personal, and negotiation skills.
· Strong communications and presentation skills.
· Self-starting personality who can efficiently structure work schedule.
ACTIVITIES
- Maintain regular contact with the sales organization. Assist in the development and continued pursuit of the sales funnel, using contacts to knowledge and influence to help guide projects towards a result for Belimo. Note that daily sales activities and follow up on orders & deliveries will be the responsibility of the sales organization, however developing opportunities by getting Belimo products specified and updating the sales organization is the responsibility of the RAC.
- Travel where required to sales offices throughout the territory providing support to the Sales Team and RACs where a higher level of expertise is needed, or to deliver training.
- Lead any needed coordination of initiatives amongst Indian RACs working together with the Belimo Global Business Development Managers and Asia Pacific Product Management team under the guidance of the Managing Director India.
- Share success stories across the RAC network, Sales Organization, PM and MARCOM teams to create promotional materials and success stories that can be used to further develop the business.
- Work together with PM team to launch and promote new products in addition to educating the market on Belimo solutions and the added customer value. Priorities will be with the following products:
o ZoneEase VAV
o EV/EPIV
o Advanced Motorized Butterfly Valve
o Sensors and Flow Meters
o Zonetight
- The RAC may be required to help create content and case studies as references for promotion. For this he/she will need to work together with PM, MARCOM and possibly other external Belimo Resources such as AP PM and AP MARCOM.
