The role is accountable for provision of efficient and effective recruitment services and delivery against the hiring requirements in a timely and competent fashion.
A key deliverable of this position is to permanently attract high-standard candidates to join V. seafaring pools with focus on Senior Officers and drive the recruitment team together with the recruitment leader for the region / sector.

- Supports Senior Recruitment Manager / Global Recruitment Manager Leisure with the effective and efficient implementation of the Global Recruitment Strategy for crew sourcing locally, including digital sourcing strategy, Global Recruitment Policy and Processes, including utilization of defined recruitment tools and technologies.
- Leads advertising campaigns.
- Plans and implements short-, middle- and long-term recruitment.
- Cooperates with Global Recruitment Managers Offshore / Leisure for recruitment for respective business sectors and for performance reviews of dedicated recruitment resources.
- Performs active and passive sourcing of candidates for Recruitment Requests assigned by Senior Recruitment Manager or respective Global Recruitment Manager Offshore / Leisure inside an internal recruitment database as well as by utilizing approved channels, tools, platforms, social media, job-boards.
- Maintains contact with Senior Officers either left company or pure market ones of the niche skillsets and capabilities.
- Expands recruitment database (talent pool) with high in-demand candidates and unique expertise.
- Facilitates local and where applicable international recruitment events aimed at the attraction of candidates, including crew events and school events.
- Ensures all records in recruitment systems and databases are correct and up-to-date, notes in candidates profiles are accurate and reflect the verified information about the candidate, including but not limited to availability date, expected wage, attributes (skills and competencies).
- Discusses offers with shortlisted candidates, steps in the discussions with candidates identified by junior team members, as and when required.
- Supervises other recruitment team members on recruitment screening, tests, interviews, documents and experience verification, background checks, profile updates as required according to workflow.
- Submits compliant and timely proposals of seafarers to Planners and CMMs and reviews candidate's status until Joined. In Leisure: submits compliant and timely proposals of seafarers to Planners and Clients and follows through the process until the offer letter is finalized.
- Arranges one-to-one and team meetings locally and attends meetings led by the recruitment leader for the region / sector.
- Supports other recruitment team members with quick onboarding.
- Deputizes for Senior Recruitment Manager / Global Recruitment Manager Leisure.
- Performs efficiently within the framework of defined KPIs, PIs and productivity ratios.
- Communicates with recruitment colleagues from other locations, colleagues from other business functions (e.g. Planners, CMPs, CMMs, CCs, Assessors) and third-party agencies (TPAs) on various operational matters.
- Supports Senior Recruitment Manager / Global Recruitment Manager Leisure with distribution of workload, control function and reporting on the subject of collaboration with TPAs.
- Assists the recruitment leader for the region / sector with recording and systemizing market intelligence for the local and international seagoing manpower supply marketplace.
- Undertakes all hiring activities observing local employment legislation, international conventions and regulations, V.Group ethics and values, Policies, Processes and Recruitment Strategy.
- Performs other reasonable recruitment related duties assigned by the line manager.

Essential
- Possesses a bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in resourcing ideally gained in-house or with large RPOs in a multinational environment
- Understanding of the seagoing manpower supply marketplace
- Proven track record of managing resourcing teams across the region in an operational capacity
- Knowledge of international conventions and regulations in shipping, the shipboard hierarchy, responsibilities, basic job descriptions and certification requirements for officers and ratings in accordance with STCW and MLC 2006, and knowledge of various flag state requirements, including familiarity with procedures for obtaining flag state CEC
- Understanding the role of the various international bodies, including but not limited to IMO, ILO, ITF, in the formulation of rules and regulations that govern the terms of employment of seafarers
- Familiarity with the organizational set-up of ITF and their relationship with various affiliated (seafarers) trade unions. Knowledge of applicable conditions of service and seafarers wage structure
- Knowledge of special terms governing seamen (air) travel including incentives and/or special fares offered. Basic knowledge of Maritime Geography, Visa formalities, restrictions
- Management and influencing skills
- Ability to plan tasks and follow tight timelines when required
- Work with a strong sense of urgency; with the ability to switch priorities quickly where required
- Ability to work under pressure
- A confident communicator with very strong command of English (verbal and written)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, Power Point)
