Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Recovery Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the collection and recovery of outstanding debts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Contacting debtors via telephone, email, and written correspondence to negotiate repayment terms
- Developing and implementing effective collection strategies to maximize recovery rates
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Working closely with other departments to ensure that all relevant information is shared
- Providing regular reports to management on collection performance and trends
- Assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve collection performance
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
- 1-6 years of experience in debt collection or recovery
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience using collection software and databases is a plus
