Job Title: Raw Material (RM) Purchase Executive
Salary Range: 3-4 LPA
Experience: 1-3 years in Cosmetics & Pharma Domain
Location: Santej, Ahmedabad
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management:
- o Identify and evaluate suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials, and
- chemicals.
- o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- o Maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality
- consistency.
- Procurement Planning:
- o Develop procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and
- inventory requirements.
- o Forecast demand for raw materials and packaging based on production
- forecasts and market trends.
- Quality Assurance:
- o Collaborate with Quality Control/Assurance teams to ensure purchased
- materials meet regulatory and quality standards (GMP, FDA, etc.).
- o Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality
- requirements.
- Inventory Management:
- o Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and ensure uninterrupted production.
- o Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock-outs and excess
- inventory.
- Cost Management:
- o Monitor and analyze market trends, raw material prices, and currency
- fluctuations.
- o Implement cost-saving initiatives and negotiate favorable terms to achieve
- cost reductions.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- o Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts,
- and supplier agreements.
- o Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance,
- and inventory levels.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- o Work closely with Production, R&D, Quality Control, and Finance
- epartments to coordinate procurement activities.
- o Participate in cross-functional teams for new product launches, sourcing
- initiatives, and process improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related
- field.
- Proven experience of 1-3 years in a similar role within the Cosmetics & Pharma
- industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with
- suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of packaging artwork requirements and processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is desirable.
