Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Railway Conductor at Central Government Railway located in Puducherry. As a Railway Conductor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of trains, coordinating passenger boarding and collecting tickets, You will also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining trains and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and communicating effectively with the train crew and control center.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in a similar role or the railway industry is a plus
- Valid driver's license
