Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

Ensure quality and timely executions / deliverables, collaborating and coordinating with all concerned teams and organizations, both internal and external, as per the projects and products plans.
Your Responsibilities
- Development: Develop software modules of highest quality, on-time & with efficiency and maintain it continuously, with enhancements, bug fixes etc, for MACH Control System.
- Ability to learn the system, understand the scope of the system
- Testing: Bench Testing / Unit testing for the modules developed / modified.
- Process: Follow the defined processes, throughout the development phases, in full.
- Collaborate: Collaborate with teams globally, for development and with customers, both Internal & external, professionally.
- Support: Support & work together with the team, for the developments & future support.
- Continuous improvements: Contribute towards continuous improvements, for the products & solutions under development, processes, etc.
- The candidate needs to be self-driven & having out of the box thinking, for planning, execution
- Very good awareness on the process side, such as Scrum / Agile, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) which is an added advantage, along with capabilities in Operational Excellence.

Your Background
- Very good understanding and hands-on development of embedded technologies - digital signal processing, real time operating systems and/or multi-core systems.
- Excellent programming capabilities in Embedded C, C++.
- Solid knowledge & hands on experience working with Linux.
- Debugging complex multi-threaded and event-based applications.
- Very good technical documentation skills.
- Very good understanding & working with Agile / scrum process. (SAFe is an added advantage).
- Very good understanding & working with GIT repository.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies Hypervisors, Containers
- Working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, shell etc.
- Working knowledge / exposure to database SQL or others.
- Exposure to Simulation Environments developments such as Simulink or similar
- Experience working with Virtual Machines (VMs),
- Strong understanding of Configuration Management.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
