Cost reduction/ Product modification of existing products.
Good relationship with internal, regional, and global teams to push development projects to commercialization.
Ensure R&D activities in compliance with HSEQ and operational requirements.
Ensure product development projects strictly following the Stage-Gate process.
Explore new technologies, test methods, applications and submit invention records (IRs) and file patents
Ensure product development project output/milestone in timely manner with good quality and efficiency
Mission Details
Product Development: Develop new products for different markets, run formula design in a scientific way (DOE, DFQ), follow Bostik project management tools (stage gate, clarity, etc.).
Technical Assurance: provide technical support to target/potential customers and Bostik manufacturing plants. Responsible for scale up of new products from laboratory to full commercialization.
IP: Develop new formula/new process/new applications/new tools/new test methods based on patents/pater study in related areas, submit invention records and file patents.
Business Development: Work with Marketing/Sales or customer base to develop and test products for new applications and evaluate new market opportunities. Support Marketing/Sales initiatives through direct communication with customers to convey product capabilities and assist in resolving difficult issues
Knowledge management: Deliver project documentation and communication in the form of internal technical reports/presentations and external publications (when appropriate);
Collaboration: Work closely with global product development teams to fully leverage the technical knowhow & expertise.
Coaching: Technically coach junior R&D chemist to improve capability using a deep scientific way; regular internal sharing.
5S: Be a good 5S example; lead and help lab members to improve 5S status.
Reporting: Provide regular reports as required.
HSEQ: Follow up Company HSEQ policy and procedure; Timely report out if have any concerns about HSEQ; Adhere to the operation concept of energy saving and environmental protection. Implement basic energy-saving awareness in daily work and support the company's energy saving and environmental work.
Others: Complete other tasks assigned by line manager
Required Profile
Should be Graduate or Postgraduate in chemistry or in Polymer technology
Should have 8+ years of experience in relevant field
