You will be working as R&D Principal Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Control Platform division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Specialist and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product and solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP) by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Acting as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D), software development and product engineering for specific product-related issues and maintenance.
Your responsibilities
- Understating the features, developing test cases and test execution for web or desktop products
- Working with development team to understand scope, features and estimates testing and automation effort for new features
- Planning testing activities with the team along with the test lead. Collaborating with development teams, providing inputs in product meetings to create high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
- Managing in manual testing as well automation testing using relevant tools along with test cases, test results and bugs in Azure DevOps
- Maintaining and continuously improving the test automation coverage and reliability
- Being proficient or having the capability of becoming proficient at installing and configuring test environments, troubleshooting the software and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches
Your background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related technical field
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in C# based testing, automation and manual testing
- Knowledge about software development lifecycle and hands-on experience in testing process, test cases, bugs in Azure DevOps
- Prior experience in working with a team on end-to-end projects
- Good written and communication skills
