R&D Team Lead
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.
The work model for the role is hybrid
This role is contributing to the insert product group/business area/division/function in insert region. Main stakeholders are insert main stakeholder groups if available.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Responsible for the whole SW development life cycle (SDLC) of working software: Requirements engineering, design, implementation, test including final system testing and maintenance
Maintain existing software and test infrastructure
Develop software components and interfaces to embedded systems and exisitng IIoT components within ABB
Automate system and integration tests
Handle software configuration management and build processes
Ensure compliance with international standards
Contribute in different phases of software development, ranging from feasibility studies and simulations to implementation and testing
Identify improvement potential and use creative approaches to exploit them (e.g. IoT solutions, AI/ML for data analysis and monitoring)
Specify, design, implement and execute tests of the software functions Collaborate well with R&D teams , to deliver the Product releases on time, with good quality .
Align with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables.
Demonstrates sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools.
Qualifications For The Role
- 4 -6 years experience in design of Software applications.
- Proven track record in software architecture and programming for industrial applications SW using Microsoft Technologies (C#/WPF/ASP.NET/.NET Core)
- C# 5.0 or greater , WPF , SQL
- High level proficiency in OO design & programming
- Good knowledge of industrial Ethernet communication (HTTPS, secure SOAP,REST API, OPC UA, sFTP)
- Experience in the use of the Microsoft tools
- Fair Knowledge in cyber security, SQL Server, SQL Lite
- Experience in working in an agile development team and with Azure DevOps environment
- Should have good analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with power electronics applications would be an advantage
- Good communication skill
