: Quantity SurveyorYears Of Experience:
4-6 YearsA Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role involves ensuring that construction projects are completed within budget, overseeing cost management, and ensuring value for money while adhering to quality standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Management and Control:
Prepare and review cost estimates and budgets.- Monitor and control project expenditures.
Conduct cost analyses and cost control activities.
- Identify and manage risks related to cost.
Contract Management:
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
Negotiate and analyze costs for tenders and contracts.
- Manage the procurement process and select suppliers and subcontractors.
Project Management:
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Prepare and submit regular project reports.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly valuations and project cash flow forecasts.
- Produce detailed progress reports and final account statements.
Manage project finances and administer financial accounts.Dispute Resolution:
Handle any contractual disputes and claims.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Ensure timely resolution of issues to avoid project delays.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials.- Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

- Familiarity with building and construction regulations.
