Understanding the client requirements and quantities take off as per marking.- Preparing BOQ (bill of quantities) by studying specification sheets
Identifying gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Preparing the initial quote and contract in coordination with the design team for analysing architectural and service drawings.- Manage the valuation of work done and handle claims and variations.
Preparing interim and final valuations, variations and claims of the construction site.
- Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
SKILLS
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction industry.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and project management.- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
