Quantity Surveyor

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying process, including cost estimation, procurement, and contract administration. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings and specifications to determine material requirements for each site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project plans.

Prepare elongation reports for tendons and maintain documentation of site reports and completion certificates.

Conduct material and quantity take-offs for structural, architectural, and external works.

Communicate project status updates to main contractors, administrators, and end-users through written correspondence.

Utilize CAD operations to check and analyze areas and specifications of finishes, identifying and resolving discrepancies and dimensional issues.

Collaborate with teams to address system discrepancies and drawing dimensional issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and engineer's estimations for tender submissions.

Compile and release structural safety reports to clients upon project completion.

Coordinate approvals for E-Way bills for the transportation of materials to project sites.

Prepare and maintain documentation related to BBS (Bar Bending Schedules), concrete, and material reports.

Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

o Proven experience in quantity surveying roles, particularly in construction projects.

o Proficiency in CAD software and quantity surveying tools.

o Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

o Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
