Role Summary

Job Description - Quantitative Researcher

This role requires talented individuals to develop and test quant strategies using sophisticated statistical techniques. The ideal candidate must be an expert in mathematics and statistics, have an affinity for numbers and have strong programming experience. Objectives

  • Conduct research and statistical analyses in the evaluation of
  • securities/other asset classes
  • Work with large data sets, including unconventional data sources, to predict and test statistical market patterns
  • Conceptualize valuation strategies, develop and continuously improve mathematical models, and translate algorithms into code
  • Back test and implement research ideas
  • Develop advance systems for investment team to be ahead of the market and provide advisory to the clients

Skills And Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced training in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or another highly quantitative field from top tier institutions
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience within the industry with prior experience working on mid to high frequency trading strategies
  • Proficiency in probability & statistics (e.g. time-series analysis, machine learning, pattern recognition, NLP)
  • Prior experience working in a data driven research environment
  • Python programming knowledge is a must, experience with other scientific programming language (e.g. MATLAB, C++, JAVA, R or similar) is beneficial
  • A background demonstrating strong analytical problem solving skills
  • An ability to communicate advanced concepts in a concise and logical way, deliver under pressure and take ownership
  • Proficiency in creating and using algorithms to meticulously investigate and work through large data or error-checking problems
