Job Description - Quantitative Researcher
This role requires talented individuals to develop and test quant strategies using sophisticated statistical techniques. Objectives
- Conduct research and statistical analyses in the evaluation of
- securities/other asset classes
- Work with large data sets, including unconventional data sources, to predict and test statistical market patterns
- Conceptualize valuation strategies, develop and continuously improve mathematical models, and translate algorithms into code
- Back test and implement research ideas
- Develop advance systems for investment team to be ahead of the market and provide advisory to the clients
Skills And Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced training in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or another highly quantitative field from top tier institutions
- Minimum 3 years of work experience within the industry with prior experience working on mid to high frequency trading strategies
- Proficiency in probability & statistics (e.g. time-series analysis, machine learning, pattern recognition, NLP)
- Prior experience working in a data driven research environment
- Python programming knowledge is a must, experience with other scientific programming language (e.g. MATLAB, C++, JAVA, R or similar) is beneficial
- A background demonstrating strong analytical problem solving skills
- An ability to communicate advanced concepts in a concise and logical way, deliver under pressure and take ownership
- Proficiency in creating and using algorithms to meticulously investigate and work through large data or error-checking problems
