We are hiring Quality Control Engineer for a leading Construction Company
The Quality Control Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety standards of construction projects undertaken by the leading construction company in Nungambakkam. They are responsible for inspecting, testing, and assessing materials, procedures, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control processes and protocols for construction projects.
- Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials and equipment.
- Perform audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Identify and address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Document and report quality issues and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Review construction plans and specifications to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on quality-related matters.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in quality control.
- Participate in the development and improvement of quality management systems.
- Conduct internal and external quality audits.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor staff on quality control processes and procedures.
- Participate in the resolution of customer complaints and quality-related issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in conducting material testing and inspections.
- Deep understanding of construction quality standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Certification in quality management or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant quality control tools and methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and processes.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures in construction.
- Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Candidates who have previous experience in residential projects are preferred.
