Role Objective: Providing support to the Quality Manager to enable a consistent approach to the governance, compliance, and improvement aspects of business processes, specifically focusing on maintaining the portfolio of policy, procedures, and templates, raising awareness, and monitoring and measuring compliance to ISO industry standards. Providing leadership, support, and guidance to the local QHSE & Data Protection team.
Key Responsibilities:
The main duties of the ISO Compliance Officer role will be to:
Maintain documented system controls, document classifications and templates for key policies.
Undertake internal audits and gap analysis of business operations and activities against defined criteria.
Support and represent the local Quality & Data Protection team on day-to-day issues.
Schedule management review meetings, prepare agenda and take detailed minutes.
Record customer complaints and support investigations through to conclusion.
Monitor performance through defined indicators, reporting issues for resolution and identifying improvement.
Communicate compliance needs, expectations and raise awareness.
Observe a code of strictest confidentiality at all times.
Maintain service standards associated with a quality management system.
Managing the day-to-day activities of the local QHSE team, deleting tasks and providing support to achieve team targets.
Participates in the implementation of initiatives and strategies for QHSE / Data Protection, and the wider Risk & Special Projects team.
Undertake other duties commensurate with the position to ensure the smooth operation of NES Fircroft's certified management systems.
Support the Quality Manager in satisfying NES Fircroft's:
- Integrated Management System and ISO Certification.
- Compliance to legislative and contractual requirements associated with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Data Protection practices; and
- Implementation of QHSE principles across global locations.
Person Specification
The ISO Quality Compliance Team Lead will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal, be familiar with multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and supporting the global business with ISO certification linked to an Integrated Management System. The Team Lead will provide guidance and support to the appointed QHSE team and the businesses appointed QHSE representatives to achieve results.
Maintaining policy and associated documents is a key part of the role, so an exceptional eye for detail; competent in proof-reading and English language skills, with the ability to enhance written content is a necessity, as is understanding the concepts of storage, classification and controls associated with a management system.
The individually will have experience of working to specified legislation, industry standards and/or contractual needs and be capable of identifying opportunity or risk associated with compliance.
Key Attributes / Skills Criteria
Experience and knowledge of ISO Management Systems and Documents (ISO9001; ISO14001; ISO45001).
Experience range of 6-8 years in a similar role required.
Experienced Internal Auditor to ISO standards (preferable ISO9001 or ISO14001 systems).
Conversant with using databases/spreadsheets (Excel pivot tables, formula, and report generation).
Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Confidence and negotiating skills with a high attention to detail.
Proven experience of working in a demanding role and leading a team of support staff.
