A Quality Assurance (QA) Tester plays a crucial role in ensuring that software products meet the necessary standards of quality, functionality, and performance before they reach end-users.

Job Summary:

The QA Tester will be responsible for developing and executing tests to ensure software quality. This role involves designing and implementing testing procedures, detecting software issues, and ensuring that products meet the necessary standards. Key Responsibilities:

1.Test Planning and Design:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing based on product requirements and specifications.
• Define test strategies for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Work with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and identify potential risk areas.

2.Test Execution and Reporting:

• Execute test cases, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing, to validate software functionality.
• Identify, record, and track defects, inconsistencies, and potential improvements in testing.
• Document test results, analyze patterns, and provide detailed reports to the development team.

3. Automation and Maintenance:

• Develop, maintain, and improve automated test scripts to ensure coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks to optimize testing processes and coverage.
• Keep up with current automation trends and integrate tools to enhance testing efficiency.

4. Collaboration and Process Improvement:

• Work closely with the development team to ensure a mutual understanding of quality standards and objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate on testable software designs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and propose enhancements to QA processes and tools.

5. Documentation and Compliance:

• Ensure all testing documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 1+ years of experience in software Quality Assurance or testing.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
• Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience with API testing

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
