Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality department of Wind mill Anchor cage manufacturing plant in Chennai. Ideal candidates will have 10-12 years of experience in Heavy equipment /Wind energy / Fabrication industries with BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Job Location: Oragadam,Kanchipuram dt , Tamilnadu Chennai.

Experience:10-12 years
Skills: CNC machining ( VMC, HTL, HBM) , HeavyFabrication and SMAW/GMAW/SAW welding
Job responsibility:
- Exposure with GTAW,SMAW.GMAW welding, documentations , fabrication of large diameter rings and lead WPS, PQR and WQR records as per ASME sec IX.
- Experience in VMC, HBM, and VTL machining processes of wind mill / Heavy components and monitoring the same to ensure parts meet quality standards, making adjustments as needed
- Execute Production Part Approval (PPAP), drive PFEMA and APQP process.
- Lead Incoming, in process, supplier/Contractor and final product quality assurance.
- Ensure plant compliance with ISO 9001:2015 , ISO 3834 , 5S, NABL 17025 , EN standards, Wind APAQP and execute internal audit for plant (system, product and process)
- Identify/ ensure mitigation of Quality risks, oversaw customer complaint ,manage KPIs Systems, track Non-conformance and drive CAPA within the business unit for excellence
- Drive Quality culture in the plant &Develop Plant Quality team (capabilities and capacity)
Requirements:
- Education: B.E/B.Tech Mechanical Engg or D.ME from reputed Institute /University
- Having overall 10+ years of experience in Quality Management role and should be adept in Heavy Machining, large fabrication shop or Wind energy parts manufacturing.
- Knowledge of SMAW, GMAW.GTAW Welding, WPS,PQR,WQR procedures ,CNC machining, PFEMA ,Quality tools, PPAP, APQP, 5S, data analysis and decision making.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T with an ability to verify dimensions of machine parts and tools using calibrated measuring instruments
- Display of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, sophisticated and cross-functional problems is expected
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, team player and ability to work independently and lead quality department.
