Job Summary
As a QC Executive with at least 3 years of experience, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of manufactured products meets the established standards and specifications. You will be tasked with conducting inspections, tests, and analyses throughout the production process to identify any deviations or defects and report to the QC Manager. Your role involves collaborating with production teams to implement quality control procedures and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will assist in developing and updating quality control documentation, SOPs, and work instructions to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting Quality Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications using various quality instruments.
- Testing and Analysis: Utilize various testing methods and equipment to assess the performance, durability, and functionality of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Defect Identification and Resolution: Identify and document any defects, deviations, or non-conformities during the production process, and collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken. Prepare reports and communicate findings to management and other stakeholders as needed.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes, optimize production efficiency, and minimize waste.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 D) in all aspects of quality control activities.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Key Skills Required:
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques specific to the mechanical manufacturing industry.
- Instrumentation knowledge: Skill and expertise in using typical metrology instrumentation such as vernier callipers, micrometers, bore guages, dial gauges, slip gauges, feeler gauges, radius gauges, chamfer gauges, profile projects, height gauges, bench centers etc.
- Drawing Knowledge: ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings including dimensions, tolerances, and symbols such as flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, roundness, cylindricity, position, run out, total run out, straightness, profile etc.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and analyze quality issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to ensure product quality and process improvement.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to accurately identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities in manufactured components and assemblies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Proficient in maintaining accurate records, documenting quality inspection results, preparing reports, and effectively communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 & AS 9100 D) and quality assurance standards and practices relevant to the mechanical manufacturing industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate quality requirements, and provide training and guidance to production personnel.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive attitude towards identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement, and willingness to actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
