Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software solutions by developing and executing tests, identifying issues, and collaborating with developers to improve system performance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Design: Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for applications and systems.
- Testing Execution: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on software applications.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution by working closely with developers.
- Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for repeated testing scenarios using tools like Selenium, JIRA, or similar.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that software meets established quality standards, user expectations, and business requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed test reports, summaries, and recommendations for improvement to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and tools.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing (manual and automated).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or similar.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively within a team.
