Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Analyst to join our team specializing in US healthcare medical billing processes. The primary responsibilities of this role include ensuring accuracy and compliance in payment posting and charge posting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks on payment posting and charge posting processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and regulations.
- Analyze and reconcile discrepancies in payment transactions and charge entries.
- Identify trends or issues affecting billing accuracy and propose solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with billing specialists, coding teams, and other stakeholders to resolve complex billing issues.
- Maintain updated knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer policies, and industry best practices related to payment and charge posting.
- Generate reports and metrics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics related to billing accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to validate data integrity and compliance with billing standards.
- Provide training and support to billing staff on proper payment posting and charge entry procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (X years) in payment posting and charge posting within a US healthcare setting, with a focus on medical billing.
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding systems, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus.
