Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) / Estimator - Interior Fit-Out
  • Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) / Estimator with extensive experience in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and estimating, with a proven track record of successfully managing costs and budgets for interior fit-out projects of varying scales.
  • Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and pricing analysis to determine material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and quality.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or deviations.
  • Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts in accordance with contractual requirements.
Provide timely and accurate cost advice to support decision-making and risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in tendering processes, including reviewing tender documents, attending site visits, and preparing tender submissions.
Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory requirements to inform cost planning and estimating practices.
  • Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in the interior fit-out industry.
Proficiency in cost estimating software.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, PMP) is a plus.
