Job Description

Quality Control (QC) Specialist - Frozen Food CompanyResponsibilities:
  • Product Inspection:
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Check for compliance with temperature controls, packaging integrity, product weight, and labeling accuracy.
Process Monitoring:
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
Verify that equipment is functioning correctly and that sanitation protocols are followed.
Sampling and Testing: Collect samples from various production stages for laboratory analysis, including microbiological testing, moisture content, and other quality parameters.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations (taste, smell, texture) to ensure product consistency and quality.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits, including any deviations from standards.
Prepare quality reports and summaries for management review.
  • Compliance and Audits:
Ensure all products comply with local, national, and international food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FDA).
  • Assist in internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and corrective actions.
Corrective Actions:
  • Identify and address any quality issues, working with production teams to implement corrective actions.
Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and adjust procedures as needed to prevent recurrence.
Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and approve raw material suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve material consistency.
Employee Training:
  • Train production staff on quality control procedures, food safety standards, and proper handling of frozen products.
Promote a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging quality control technologies.
