Job Description

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Position: Chemist / Sr. Chemist

A leading third party manufacturing company of Cosmetics based at Ahmedabad is looking for QA/QC Chemist / Sr. Chemist who can coordinate, manage with all the departments and achieve the highest quality standards and safety of all the products. In this role, you have to develop and implement the quality control systems, overseeing all the testing, ensuring the compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures through SOPs & documents required.

Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.

Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.

2. Quality Control Oversight:

Oversee the testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure that they meet quality standards.

Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including test results, BMR, BPR, COA and inspection reports.

Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment for entire factory.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all products comply with relevant cosmetic industry regulations like FDA.

Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards, and implement necessary adjustments to compliance practices.

4. Team Management:

Lead and manage the QA/QC team, providing training, guidance.

Create a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the team.

5. Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.

Identify RCA of quality problems and implement CAPA.

Promote continuous improvement and risk assessment initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance and control activities.

Ensure that all documentation is compiled as per the regulatory requirements and company policies.

7. Supplier Quality Management:

Evaluate and monitor the quality of raw materials and packaging materials supplied by vendors.

Work closely with purchase team and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure consistent supply of high-quality materials.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with R&D, production, and marketing teams to ensure quality is integrated into product development and manufacturing processes.

Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss quality-related issues and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Chemistry, Pharma, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control from the cosmetics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetic industry FDA regulations.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & ISO 22716.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Reporting To:

  • Director

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 18,000.00 - 35,000.00 per month
